Stacking the Shelves #26 + August-September 2016 Recap

Welcome to another episode of me buying books that I won’t get to read anytime soon. I also got a bunch of ARCs that I’m excited to read and I hope I like it. For the past two months, I have been hauling books from sales. Powerbooks had it’s sale last August, then came MIBF, which was amazing and you can read my recap here, and Jem’s. August-September Recap

I posted sporadically during August. I believe I only had a couple of posts, but I did a lot of reading and well, I already finished my Goodreads Challenge but I’m thinking of adding more books and probably expand it to 90 or 100 books.

September was more eventful than August. I met up with friends for Manila International Book Fair , a small coffee hangout with the people from Ethos Books and Morgan Matson’s signing! MIBF week was the very highlight of my month!

I read a total of 12 books plus 24 comic books for the past two months. (OH LORD I HAVEN’T REALLY PAID ATTENTION TO THE NUMBER OF COMIC BOOKS I’VE READ HAHAHAHA THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I ACTUALLY COUNTED THEM LET ME FREAK OUT FOR A SECOND) Well in my defense, I binge read the Avengers Standoff storyline to get more backstory for Thunderbolts, which I’m currently reading.

Books Read:

What Things Mean by Sophia Lee
Paper or Plastic by Vivi Barnes
Nevernight by Jay Kristoff
Last Seen Leaving by Caleb Roehrig
Gemina by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman
Tone Deaf by Olivia Rivers
Even If The Sky Falls by Mia Garcia
For This Life Only by Stacey Kade
A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir
Wonder Women by Sam Maggs
My Unscripted Life by Lauren Morrill
