Love is one dare neither of them can take…
Arabella Stone, Nashville’s darling, is eager to shuck her prim-and-proper rep, and a few wild months spent checking items off her ” summer bucket list” is the way to do it. First up: kiss the man she’s crushed on since she wore a training bra, the bad boy of country himself, Blue bassist Charlie Tucker.
For Charlie, a beautiful woman flirting with him isn’t out of the norm–but a beautiful woman bolting after the hottest kiss of his life sure is. And when he finds out his kiss-and-run Cinderella is none other than Arabella Stone, daughter of his label’s CEO, he knows he’s in trouble. Because not only is she a Stone, she’s also his employee for the next few months at the recording studio he just bought.
Over the course of one thrilling summer, Arabella and Charlie chip away at her bucket list and fight the simmering attraction between them…knowing that once it’s all over, so is their time together.
I received an ARC of this book from the publisher in exchange of a review. No compensation in any form was received for the review of this book.
I was really excited for this book ever since Rachel started posting teasers in the Flirt Squad group, which I’m a part of! I absolutely adored the premise of the story from the teasers I’ve read.
I’m really glad to say it did not disappoint. This was actually my second Rachel Harris read. I also loved her book, The Fine Art of Pretending. This book made me swoon hard! The concept of the story was pretty much simple and used up but it didn’t make me feel like I was reading a typical romantic novel. It was really interesting and light to read.
The characters were really easy to love. Arabella was really smart, strong, independent and relatable! She’s very easy to get into and I had no problems reading into her perspective. Charlie was definitely one hot guy! I’m not much into country singers but from what I imagine, his personality isn’t much like cowboys which I liked. He’s actually pretty adorable and has a soft spot despite his strong exterior.
I also loved Abby, Charlie’s niece. She’s really adorable! I also loved the way how her depression became a central point in the novel. It was handled really well too!
Overall, this book was really enjoyable and I was swooning because of the chemistry between Charlie and Arabella, which has sparked since the start. I’d definitely recommend this book!
