Synopsis

Updating best friend to girlfriend is more than a change of status…

Emma has been best friends with Eli since she moved to his neighborhood ten years ago. Tired of being cast in the role of the girl next door, Emma creates a fake Facebook profile in the hopes of starting an online friendship with Eli, which would hopefully lead to more. Like…way more. From friend request to In a Relationship–it all seemed so completely logical when she’d planned it.

Eli can’t figure out what Emma is up to. He’s pretty sure she’s the one behind the Facebook profile, but then again, why would she do something so drastic instead of just admitting she wants to be more than friends? And who the heck is this new guy he saw her with? Eli starts to think that just maybe…he missed his chance with the girl next door.

Two best friends, one outlandish ruse. Their status is about to become way more than It’s Complicated…

This Entangled Teen Crush book contains one fake Facebook profile, two best friends who secretly crave each other, and a dreaded sex talk with parents…boy crush in the room included. Pushing a relationship beyond the friend zone has never been so crazy…

I received an ARC of this book from the publisher in exchange of a review. No compensation in any form was received for the review of this book.

Sometimes I get those days wherein I couldn’t do anything productive. Having read Illuminae, I was stuck in a reading slump so while I was stuck in traffic on my way to Uni, I decided to read this book and I was really hooked. I finished it on the bus, yep while it was moving. Haha!

I simply adore bestfriend romances so when I heard about this book, I immediately signed up for an ARC! This book is really enjoyable, light and full of fluff!

“The point is, he’s used to you always being there. And he’s also used to knowing there was no other guy in competition for his place in your life.”

The characters were adorable, sweet and easy to relate with. Emma was a fun character to begin with, she’s a bit shy but she’s really quirky too, being with her friends, especially with Eli! Eli, well according to Emma, he’s hot. I could definitely imagine him as hot because it wasn’t that hard. Haha! He’s sweet and caring and I love him to bits! The friendship between the two was really unique and adorable.

Somehow, I didn’t mind the love triangle which was surprising since both guys, Eli and Jake, were adorable in their own ways. They were so nice, amidst the clash of their personalities.

“Maybe instead, it’s time you realized there are some things that aren’t in your power. And if you try to push too hard, something is going to slam you in the face.”

This was definitely swoonworthy! I love that the friendships, family and the romance aspects of the book all worked out together as balanced.
