“My name is Harriet Manners and I am a geek.”

Harriet Manners knows that the hottest observed place on earth is Furnace Creek in Death Valley. She knows that dolphins shed the top layer of their skin every two hours. And she knows just how badly auditions can go, especially when you’re a model. But she has no idea what to do when her arch-nemesis decides the school play is the perfect opportunity to humiliate her…

Can GEEK GIRL survive the bright lights of the stage?

This book was definitely a fast read and I adored every single page of it. Holly Smale became one of my favorite authors right after I read Geek Girl. I fell in love with the book and her writing style is excellent! So imagine my reaction when I saw this book on a shelf that’s almost been cleared out at MIBF several days ago. This was a lucky find for me!

The book was set along with the second one. Harriet had another modelling gig which turned into a disaster. Then for a while Nick, the ever adorable Nick Hidaka, was there. Seriously their chemistry is so adorable I could just melt into a puddle. The gist of the story was Harriet’s school was adapting Hamlet in which she and Nat, her bestfriend, are part of. Unfortunately, her arch-nemesis, Alexa, was part of the production team and planned on humiliating her.

Geek Drama was full on fun and exciting. It brought me enough satisfaction that I can get from a full Geek Girl novel. It’s smart, sassy, cheesy and most of all, funny! I love that this book focused more on Harriet and Nat’s friendship among other things. In case you want something to lift up your mood, try this one!
