Gossip Girl Book Tag ♥

Hi darlings!!!!!!!!!! So I’d been tagged twice for the Gossip Girl Book Tag, and I’m taking on the challenge! :P

I actually can’t explain why I have so much love for this show, but I just do. It’s not really perfect or anything, but you have to admit, a series showcasing the lives of the wealthiest kids from New York is bound to grab the attention of viewers.

I really, really enjoyed the setting, plus majority of the characters in this series are so attractive and are just incredibly well-dressed. I’ve also appreciated the schemes, the manipulations, the twist and the turns, because it keeps the show interesting. You’d also admire the strong(ish) friendships and fighting for true love (Blair & Chuck is my forever!!!!).

I’d also like to share that Gossip Girl is the first series I’ve ever finished (completely!), and that this is my first time doing a book tag. Weeeeee. ♥ So for the Book Tag Answers! Here we go!

Serena Van der Woodsen – The “It” book of Young Adult Fiction

I’m thinking Illuminae by Amie Kaufman  and Jay Kristoff because it’s such a fabulous book, and it has a fabulous cover. I think bookworms around the world are anticipating its release, everybody just wants it, and judging from the reviews I’ve read, it deserves the hype. ♥

Blair Cornelia Waldorf – A book/character you love to hate

I don’t know how this happened but whenever someone asks me about books I didn’t like, How to Love by Katie Cotugno is the first thing that comes to my mind. Many people loved it so much for all the feelings it brought them, but I just cannot feel that because for one thing I cannot, I did not, and I will not like Sawyer. I just don’t see any redeeming qualities in him. And I just pity Reena because when it comes to Sawyer, she’s the ultimate pushover, like where did her brain go? *Sorry for this guys! I’m trying to be honest, maybe you can check my review to understand me more*

Charles Bartholomew “Chuck” Bass – A roller coaster ride of a book

I basically felt everything in the emotion spectrum when I read Hopeless by Colleen Hoover, and just like a roller coaster and Chuck Bass, after everything that happened you still love all the feeling s it gave you.

Nathaniel “Nate” Archibald – A book cover eye candy

I’m pretty much a minimalist, I like simple and elegant covers so I’m thinking the “Book Cover Eye Candy Award” goes to Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard!  Oh my goodness this book’s cover is so gorgeous. I’m saving up so I could buy my own copy, this would totally make my bookshelf look better. ♥

Daniel “Dan” Humphrey – A book you think deserves more love than it gets

I might hate Dan forever (because he disappoints me again, and again, and again), but I do love Almost by Anne Eliot, and it deserves to be read by everybody!

Jenny Humphrey – A character that went through a drastic transformation, for better or worse

OMG the cutest transformation I’ve ever read is from the Unmaking of Hunter Kennedy by Anne Eliot! So imagine Hunter, an iconic lead singer from a very famous boy band becoming Dustin, a dorky (but still cute) and pretty awkward high school student with retainers and glasses. It’s a must read!

Vanessa Abrams – A book that doesn’t have a lasting impression

Oh my goodness I’m sorry to the fans of The Book of Broken Hearts by Sarah Ockler, but the book did not do anything for me, not even a teenzy weenzy kilig, and I only dragged myself to finish this book, it was like a pass-through book for me. I’m considering to read it again though.

Lily Van der Woodsen and Rufus Humphrey – An OTP that could have been

Definitely  Liesel Meminger and  Rudy Steiner from The Book Thief by Markus Zusak! These two are the cutest pair, they’re best friends for starters, and also partners in crime. I think they had a strong and solid friendship, which would sooner or later lead to ♥♥♥ … but then Rudy died, and I’m still licking my wounds from is death, I may never recover.

Georgina Sparks – A villain who’s killing it with villainy

Because Mockingjay Part 2’s movie release is nearing, I’d choose President Coriolanus Snow from the Hunger Games series because he is such a pain in the arse! He is the cruellest, heartless, most manipulative person in Panem, plus he’s so creepy with his bloody rose breath and all.

Dorotha Kishlovsky – A favorite sidekick character

This is a hard one, but I’m choosing Jughead from the Archie Comics, because he is one of the funniest person in Riverdale, he loves FOOD, and he’s pretty allergic to girls which is cute, he also gives pretty damn good advice, and during times of trouble, he’s usually the most logical. I’m giving plus points for the adorable hat. ♥

Ivy Dickens – A book you always mistake for something else

Go Set a Watchman (Harper Lee’s new book) cover looked so much like the If I Stay cover if it’s flipped, lol! I can’t think of anything else, I’d been thinking for a few days and I give up. Gaaaah. XD

Lola Rhodes – A book/character you wanted to love more than you actually did

I intended to love Things We Know By Heart by Jessi Kirby, but because of the lingering theme of misery and guilt, plus I read it while finishing my thesis, I ended up not liking it as much as I thought I would have.

Prince Louis Grimaldi – A Prince-Charming-turned-A-plus-jerk character

This is so Harrison Shaw (from How I Fly by Anne Eliot). To be honest I was charmed by Harrison from the beginning, and I even proclaimed that his meet-cute with Ellen was the most adorable ever, but when Cam came back to the picture, and Harrison’s true colors, the psycho inside him, showed itself immediately after.

There we go, my complete answers! I have so many Anne Eliot answers because I swear her books are so, so good! ♥ And I’m tagging these pretty ladies, hope you’re up for the challenge! Tag you’re it!

I want to thank JM of the Book Freak Revelations and Miel of Bookish and Awesome, for tagging me! I really, really, took much pleasure in doing this! Sending some love to you guys and to all the Gossip Girl lovers out there. <3 <3 <3

You know you love me, xoxo. ♥

    1. I really, really wanted to like Things We Know By Heart, and I enjoyed some parts, like when they were kayaking and they saw the glowing blue algae, but I read it during my last semester in school, and I guess given my frame of mind that time, I needed happier books. I’m thinking of re-reading it again though. :))

Alsooo, yes!! One of these days I’m gonna get myself a copy of that gorgeous book!!!

Thank you for the comment Hazel! :)

    1. Hi Miel! Yeaaah hahaha our answers are really different, but somehow I agree to a number of your answers too, and I’m like, “Why didn’t I think of that” :))
Also, I tried to match the colors of the covers of the books to the pictures of the cast. :)))
