Monthly Recap: September 2014

To be honest, September was truly a busy month for me. I had to take a chunk of my time from blogging to focus it into studying. Most of my posts were scheduled ones since I’m really finding it hard to balance this maintaining the blog with my academics, so I need to work on that.

Hello October!

This month, I promise to be better in balancing everything. I’m targeting to read more than 5 books for this month, of course after exams. I’m planning on having a monthly TBR so that my reading schedule will be more organized. Unlike before, I only pick out books that I want read based on my mood, now I’ll be more strict in considering publication dates and other stuff. I’m also going to be working on my Netgalle ratio which really sucks right now.

October TBR

Afterworlds by Scott Westerfeld
Tabula Rasa by Kristen Lippert-Martin
Red Rising by Pierce Brown
Enders by Lissa Price
Beau, Lee, The Bomb & Me by Mary McKinley
Desperate Reflections by Shay West
Upside Down by Lia Riley
Dynamo by Zach Lichtmann
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

Hopefully, I’ll finish these books by the end of the month. Also, Blood of Olympus is coming out next week! I’m pretty excited about it. Marie Lu’s new book is also coming out this month so I need to check that one out. Not to mention she’s coming over here in November for a book signing event.

Speaking of book signings, National Bookstore will be bringing us a pair of authors again for a book signing event.

Yes. Claudia Gray and Madeleine Roux will be coming here on October 18 for a book signing event. I’m really hoping that I could come but I’m pretty sure I can’t because I used my allowance and book funds to buy a concert ticket. Weighing my options, I really couldn’t give up that concert. Hahaha!

I haven’t read any books written by them but I’m sure as hell going to check them out, especially Madeleine Roux’s Sanctum and Asylum because they’re really suiting for a Halloween read.

I hope everyone of you will have an awesome October!
